This Privacy Notice details our company and how we collect, use, and share personal information about you. It also explains your privacy rights.

We are Spyder Byte Studio, LLC, the creators of Picky Pizza and other software products and services.

This Privacy Notice applies to personal information that we collect through Picky Pizza and websites we control, like and (collectively “Products and Services”).


1. What Personal Information Does Spyder Byte Studio Collect?

The personal information we may collect about you through the Products and Services are grouped into the following categories:

1.1 Information that you provide voluntarily

Our Products and Services may ask you to provide personal information voluntarily. For example, if you use our Contact Us sections on our company website,, or product sites (e.g, information such as the following may be collected:

  • your name, email, and your company website or URL (if applicable)
  • questions, comments, messages, or requests for service
  • player names or nick names (these can be any text you wish to use)
  • the language you would like Picky Pizza to use (e.g. English, German, Spanish)

The personal information you are asked to provide is collected so that we may provide you with answers or products and services at your request.

Picky Pizza allows you to play in a Pass-n-Play mode. You are asked to provide a player name or nickname for each of the two players in the game. These “names” or aliases can be any text you wish to use. These values are stored locally on the device for the duration of the game. Upon completion of the game they are immediately removed from the device. These values are never collected by Spyder Byte Studio, LLC.

1.2 Information we get from other sources (“third party”)

Picky Pizza allows you to play against other online opponents. This is accomplished through Apple’s Game Center services. These services provide Picky Pizza with a display name, alias, and a non-personally identifying ID. Picky Pizza shows the alias text within game play. The Apple Game Center provided views show the display name for those opponents that are your “friends” within the Game Center services. Picky Pizza uses the non-personally identifying ID to determine the currently active player. Picky Pizza does not store any of these values locally on the device nor are they collected or stored anywhere within our Products or Services.

1.3 Information we collect automatically

When you use our services, we may collect certain information automatically from you and/or your device which may be considered personal information under applicable data protection laws, such as:

  • Data and analytics about your use of our Products and Services (website use)
  • Your IP Address and other location or device identifiers
  • Your device type and operating system you use
  • General location for geographical data (e.g. country, state, province, city) that may be based on your IP address

Some of this information may be collected using cookies and/or similar technologies, as explained in the “Cookies and similar tracking technology in websites” section below.


2. How We Use Your Personal Information

We may use your personal information for the following purposes:

2.1 To provide our Products and Services:

  • To use your Game Center account/profile to enable you to play Picky Pizza
  • The provide you with the correct version of Picky Pizza (e.g. knowing which language to display within the game)
  • To enable you to communicate with another player or initiate a game with another player. (e.g. a Game Center “friend” or another person you send a game invitation to)

2.2 To support you and improve our Products and Services:

  • To reply to your customer support requests (e.g. you contact us with a question, service request, or complaint)

2.3 For promotional activities

  • To provide in-game offers

2.4 Other Purposes

  • To establish, exercise, and/or defend our legal rights, or to protect your rights and those of others
  • To ensure compliance with legal obligations


3. Cookies and Similar Tracking Technology In Websites

Our Products and Services do not use “cookies” or other technologies such as pixel tags and clear GIFs.

Cookies: A “cookie” is a small file stored locally on a users’s computer or device. They hold data specific to a particular user and the website. They are accessed either by a web server or the local device/computer. Cookies allow a web server to deliver a page tailored to the user or to track that user’s interaction with the website and associated services. You can disable cookies on your device or set your device to alert you when cookies are being sent to your device. Disabling cookies may affect your use of websites and or other services.


4. Who Does Spyder Byte Studio Share Personal Information With?

We may share your personal information with the following types of recipients:

  • With companies in our business group, third-party service providers and partners who provide data processing services to us (for example, to support the delivery of, provide functionality on, or help enhance the security of our Services), or parties that otherwise process personal information for the purposes described in this Privacy Notice or communicated to you when we collect your personal information. These currently include Apple (Game Center) and Google (Analytics).
  • With any competent law enforcement body, regulatory authority, government agency, court of law or other third party where we believe disclosure is necessary (i) as a matter of applicable law or regulation, (ii) to exercise, establish or defend our legal rights, or (iii) to protect your vital interests or those of any other person
  • With a potential or actual buyer (and its agents and advisers) in connection with any proposed or actual purchase, merger or acquisition of any part of our business, provided that we inform the buyer it must use your personal information solely for the purposes disclosed in this Privacy Notice


5. How Does Spyder Byte Studio Keep My Personal Information Secure?

We use technical and organizational processes designed to protect any personal information we collect about you. The processes and measures we take provide a level of security appropriate for the degree of risk that may be involved in processing your personal information.


6. International Data Transfers?

Your personal information, as described in the paragraphs above, may be transferred to, and processed in, countries other than the country of which you are a resident. These countries may have data protection laws that are different from the laws in your country.

For example, our company servers and personnel are currently located in the United States. However, our third-party service providers operate around the world. This means that when we collect your personal information we may process it in any of these countries. Your personal information will remain protected in accordance with this Privacy Notice.


7. Data Retention

We retain the personal information we collect from you where we have a legitimate business need to do so. For example, to provide you with a Service you have requested, or to comply with applicable legal, tax or accounting requirements. In the case of Picky Pizza data is retained for the duration of any game or match. For online games information may be retained until you choose to have it removed from Apple’s Game Center services.


8. Your Data Protection Rights

You have the following data protection rights:

  • (a) To access, correct, update or request deletion of your personal information. You may do so in your account settings or by contacting us using the information in the “How To Contact Us” section below.
  • (b) To object to the processing of your personal information, ask us to restrict processing of your personal information or request portability of your personal information. Again, you may do so by contacting us using the information in the “How To Contact Us” section below.
  • (c) If we are using or processing your personal information with your consent, you can withdraw your consent at any time. You may do so using the information in the “How To Contact Us” section below. Withdrawing your consent will not affect the lawfulness of any processing we conducted prior to your withdrawal.
  • (d) You have the right to file a complaint with a data protection authority about our collection and use of your personal information.

We will respond to all requests we receive from individuals wishing to exercise their data protection rights in accordance with applicable data protection laws.


9. Age Limit

When we collect personal information we do not know the age of our players. If we discover that we have inadvertently gathered personal information from a minor under 13 years of age, we will take reasonable actions to promptly delete such personal information from our records.


10. Updates To This Privacy Notice

We may update this Privacy Notice in response to changing legal, technical or business developments. When we update our Privacy Notice we will take appropriate action to inform you, in accordance with the significance of the changes we make.
